About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children and Young People Practitioner to join our team at Southwark Council. As a Residential Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, child-centred, and homely environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people in achieving their full potential
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families, and team members
  • Ensure the highest standards of care and support are provided to children and young people
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development and safeguarding legislation
  • Experience of working directly with children in a residential setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
