We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning and Environment professional to join our team at Wardell Armstrong. As a key member of our Planning and Environment Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our clients' projects and contributing to the success of our business.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Environment professional to join our team and work on a variety of projects, including renewable energy, waste, industrial, and commercial developments. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on planning and environmental matters to clients, shaping and assessing the case for development projects, and liaising with external parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on planning and environmental matters to clients
  • Shaping and assessing the case for development projects, including determining planning strategies and site appraisals
  • Preparing planning applications and appeals, and coordinating in-house and external technical teams
  • Liaising with external parties, including developers, landowners, architects, engineers, local authorities, and the wider multi-disciplinary team
  • Team supervision and advice
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Planning and Environment professional with a relevant degree and a strong track record working on medium to large-scale planning projects. You will need to demonstrate a high level of technical competency, quality of work, and good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. The role will require working on a number of projects, so a proven ability to manage your own time and workload within tight timescales and ability to problem-solve is critical.
