Mental Health Assistant

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join our team in Midlothian. As a Mental Health Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced Support Practitioners to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.
No prior experience is necessary, as we provide thorough training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required for this role. Our training program includes classroom-based sessions, e-learning, and hands-on experience with our experienced team members. We'll also support you in achieving your SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification in-house.
You'll work closely with individuals to develop personalized support plans, engage in social activities, and provide emotional support when needed. A valid UK manual driving licence is required, as you may need to drive individuals' mobility vehicles. Reliable transportation is essential, as you'll be transporting service users during working hours.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around £26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
