About the Role

The Parks Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Head of Landscaping Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our beautiful green spaces, ensuring they are presented to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line-manage a team of landscape maintenance technicians and trainees, providing excellent leadership and ensuring they are highly motivated and professional.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to ensure the green estate is well-maintained and presented to a high standard.
  • Support the team in promoting the values and culture of The Parks Trust.

Requirements

  • A full driving licence is required.
  • Experience of landscape maintenance and horticulture, with a strong understanding of tree work and silvicultural practices.
  • NPTC Level 2 Certificate of competence in Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-cutting, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm.
  • NPTC Level 2 (PA1/PA6) Safe use and application of pesticides by handheld equipment.
