About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at The Parks Trust. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the green estate is maintained and presented to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line-manage a team of Landscape Maintenance Technicians and Trainees, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and ensuring they are highly motivated and professional.
  • Help ensure the green estate is maintained and presented to a high standard, adhering to our high-quality standards.
  • Support the team in promoting the values and culture of the organisation, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • A full driving licence is required.
  • Experience of landscape maintenance and horticulture, with a strong understanding of horticultural practices and principles.
  • Experience of carrying out landscape maintenance to a high standard, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • NPTC Level 2 Certificate of competence in Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-cutting, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm.
  • NPTC Level 2 (PA1/PA6) Safe use and application of pesticides by handheld equipment.
  • Be prepared and motivated to take on further training that will help enhance your individual skill levels, allowing you and The Trust to develop depth of skills and experience.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Qualification in land management (e.g. horticulture, landscape maintenance).
  • Qualification in use of strimmers, hedgecutters and other hand tools.
  • Experience and understanding of tree work and silvicultural practices.
  • Experience of using Microsoft 365.
