Apron is a fintech company that provides payment solutions to businesses and accountants. We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our team and help us navigate the complex world of fintech regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and Mitigating Legal Risks: Work with our team to identify and consult on legal risks and compliance issues related to our products and services.
  • Drafting and Reviewing Documents: Draft and review customer-facing documentation, including terms and conditions, product disclosure, policy, regulatory disclosures, and growth promotions.
  • Negotiating Commercial Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including services, partnerships, and marketing agreements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide legal support and management of regulatory licence variations or new applications to deliver on our strategy.
  • Data Protection and Privacy: Advise on data protection and privacy legal issues.
  • Employment Matters: Advise on employment matters, including UK and overseas employment law.
Requirements:
  • Experience: +5 years PQE as a corporate lawyer at a top law firm, with experience in fintech or in-house experience.
  • Skills: Excellent academic and law firm credentials, with past exposure to fintech/payments regulatory work.
