About the Role:

Kinsella Legal is seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our team and support the growth of our fintech client. As a key member of the Executive team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's operations adhere to legal frameworks and provide valuable insights to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small Legal & Regulatory team to enable the company to achieve its goals without exposing it to disproportionate risk.
  • Provide legal and regulatory expertise to support the company's growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with the Executive team to develop and implement strategies that align with the company's vision and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including AIFMD, FSMA, AML, and CCA.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of c. 10 years' PQE with significant experience in Fintech or the financial services industry.
  • Good academics and law firm training.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and projects across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
