An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Director of Operations and Human Resources to join our team at the NHS. We are looking for a motivated, personable individual who will support the delivery of high-quality healthcare within our Primary Care Network (PCN).

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the PCN Clinical Director and Business Transformation Lead to ensure the smooth running of the PCN.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships within the PCN, member practices, and externally.
  • Develop robust operational plans to implement directives agreed by the PCN Board.
  • Coordinate the delivery of enhanced services and other services on behalf of the Network, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress of projects.
  • Document, manage, and develop PCN processes as they evolve.
  • Assist in the resolution of any complaints, resolving informal complaints locally and assisting in the investigation of and response to formal complaints as required.
  • Implement and communicate changes appropriately across the PCN.
  • Develop and maintain all PCN databases, keeping detailed records and producing reports.
  • Participate and contribute to PCN meetings internally and externally.

  • Experience of HR policy and processes.
  • Knowledge of and understanding of Primary Care Networks.
  • Experience in analysing, interpreting, and presenting data.
  • Substantial experience using IT systems and management information.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to group planning.
  • Experience communicating and connecting with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable effective time management skills and working to deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively and flexibly across organisational boundaries whilst maintaining operational effectiveness.
  • Understanding of the importance of asset-based and neighbourhood approaches.
  • Experience of working in primary care.
  • Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures.
  • Experience and working knowledge of all relevant legislative responsibilities relating to GDPR, Health & Safety, Human Resources, and CQC.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SystmOne and other commonly used general practice software.
