Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our team at Newman University Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the library team, ensuring the smooth operation of the library service.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an administrative role and be educated to A-level standard. You will be competent in using computers and software programmes, such as Microsoft 365, and have excellent problem-solving skills. A logical approach to tasks, combined with attention to detail and effective communication skills, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative activities to support library resources
  • Training in key areas of Library operations
  • Specific area(s) of responsibility and point of contact

Requirements:
  • A level standard education
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Logical approach to problem-solving
  • Effective correspondence and report writing
  • Computer skills and standard software programmes
  • Ability to sort books and library materials

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
