Job Description:

Civil Engineering Estimator Role

The successful candidate will join our team as a Civil Engineering Estimator for the enabling works stage of the Ardersier port development project. This involves estimating costs for the conversion of Scotland's largest brownfield port into a facility for offshore wind installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading civil engineering design drawings
  • Making material take-offs and tender summaries
  • Obtaining supplier quotations and negotiating prices
  • Preparing quotations to meet deadlines
  • Drafting detailed quotation documents
  • Liaising with clients to discuss tender submissions
  • Quantifying material take-offs and producing cost analyses for clients and management teams
  • Attending client meetings and occasional site visits
  • Assisting with monthly applications and final accounts

Requirements:

  • Experience in the civil engineering sector, preferably in structures, remediation, or groundwork
  • Previous experience as an Estimator on civil engineering projects
  • Relevant Estimating or Quantity Surveying qualification (HND/Degree or equivalent)
