Job Description
  • Leadership & Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient management of the residential child care setting.

  • Child Welfare: Safeguard the safety, well-being, and development of all children, collaborating with social workers, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to OFSTED regulations, achieving positive inspection outcomes.
  • Care Planning: Develop and oversee individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Effectively manage resources, ensuring financial sustainability of the home.
  • Safeguarding: Lead safeguarding efforts, ensuring children's safety and protection at all times.
  • Community Engagement: Foster relationships with external partners, including local authorities, schools, and healthcare providers.
  • Policy Development: Establish and implement policies supporting best practices in residential child care.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care (or equivalent).
  • Mandatory Registration: Must be Ofsted registered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years managing a residential child care setting.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, safeguarding, and relevant legislation/regulatory frameworks.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent team management and staff support skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with children, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to make informed decisions, solve problems effectively, and address challenges proactively.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £42,500. Additional benefits include performance bonuses, company events, company pension plan, flexitime, on-site parking, UK visa sponsorship, professional development opportunities, and supportive work environment.
