About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven leader to guide our existing, award-winning pre-legal collections team. This role focuses on growing profitable revenue for the Division/Practice Group/Area from existing clients while managing and developing a high-performing team that consistently exceeds client expectations.

  • Manage a team of over 20 paralegals delivering pre-legal collections services to a diverse range of clients across various sectors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, attending meetings, developing tailored strategies, implementing them effectively, and monitoring their success.
  • Develop and implement the business plan, translating it into clear objectives and action plans to ensure optimal team utilization and strategy execution.
  • Cultivate and strengthen client relationships in alignment with the Division/Practice Group/Area and Firm strategy to maximize revenue, margins, and responsible cost management.
  • Lead, support, and develop a dedicated practice area team to deliver exceptional client service, profitability, and efficient resource utilization, fostering repeat business.
  • Drive financial performance by achieving targets and ensuring compliance with the management of Lock-up (WIP and Debt).

About You

The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record as a senior legal or collections professional, divisional manager, and recognized authority in the pre-legal collections field. They demonstrate in-depth knowledge of their sector, proactively staying informed about emerging trends and risks.

  • Extensive experience within the collections field, with a demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively, maximize recoveries for clients, and drive revenue growth for DWF.
  • A strategic mindset, leveraging understanding of the Business's strategic direction (products, service lines, sectors) and our Clients' needs (markets, sectors, risks) to inform and drive Practice performance.
  • A history of innovation and continuous improvement, embracing service excellence and consistently applying it to their role.
  • The ability to anticipate and adapt to change internally and in response to the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Proven experience in leading people development, supporting the skills and knowledge progression of junior team members through coaching, supervision, and feedback.
