Position Overview:
ENGIE is on the lookout for a Collections Team Leader to enhance our operations in Leeds. This role is pivotal in overseeing the recovery of outstanding debts through a variety of methods, including disconnections and legal proceedings. The position comes with a competitive salary, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time commitment from Monday to Friday is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the Collections and Disconnections team, including managing legal procedures
- Engaging with clients and their representatives to facilitate debt recovery
- Collaborating with the internal legal department on significant claims
- Authorizing settlements and sanctioning legal actions
- Maintaining accurate documentation for debt recovery and legal processes
- Coordinating with external legal advisors throughout the legal proceedings
- Addressing inquiries from external solicitors
- Managing costs associated with legal actions
- Approving invoices related to disconnections and legal expenses
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with gas and electricity sector operations
- Understanding of credit management and customer journey
- Excellent organizational and numerical capabilities
- Strong verbal communication and reasoning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to solve problems and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in credit management and team leadership is advantageous

- GCSE English and Mathematics Grade C (or equivalent)
