We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Autism Pathways, a specialist setting for adults with Autism. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Our setting is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals with complex needs and behaviours. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting independence, choice, and control for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, promoting independence, choice, and control.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support residents with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Assist residents with community-based activities, promoting social inclusion and engagement.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a similar setting, preferably with adults with Autism or complex behavioural needs.
  • Hold or be willing to undertake a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends, to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations, promoting a positive attitude towards complex behaviours.
