About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated pharmacist with a genuine interest in mental health to provide clinical pharmacy input to in-patient mental health services at Dane Garth Unit, Furness General Hospital. The role offers a chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective medicines management processes within the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-focused clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient setting.
  • Participate in consultant ward reviews and undertake clinical audit.
  • Support trainee pharmacists, students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the delivery of clinical pharmacy services to various mental health settings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree or Bachelors degree in Pharmacy.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Evidence of and commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Good clinical knowledge and variety of clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary range £40,506 - £83,825 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package. You will also have access to ongoing professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Location

The role is based at Furness General Hospital, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14 4LF, with occasional travel required to other Trust locations.
