Pharmacist for Mental Health Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated pharmacist with a genuine interest in mental health to join our Pharmacy Team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.
Job OverviewThe post is based at Dane Garth, Furness General Hospital, providing clinical pharmacy input to in-patient mental health services. As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Our team provides an award-winning mental health online training package and has fully implemented electronic prescribing and medicines administration systems across all inpatient settings.
Main Responsibilities- Providing patient-focused clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient setting
- Participating in consultant ward reviews
- Undertaking clinical audit
- SUPPORTING trainee pharmacists, students, and other healthcare professionals
- Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
- Evidence of and commitment to continuing professional development
This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a relocation package of up to £8,000 for successful applicants who currently live further than 30 miles away from their new base of work.
You will have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, including courses such as Psychiatry 1 and 2 offered by the College of Mental Health Pharmacy, a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychiatric Therapeutics from Aston University, a Clinical Diploma where applicable, and a Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification.
