Heavy Equipment Operator

To be part of a well-established team delivering plant and equipment to North West locations, including remote sites, for utilities contracts and planned works. This includes electrical transformers, switchgear, water pumps, and pipes.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will ensure safe and effective delivery of diverse equipment to challenging sites and point of use, often in time-critical environments.
You will utilize industry-leading delivery and lifting equipment, adhering to robust safe operating procedures and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver plant and equipment to fixed sites based on weekly replenishment stock orders.
- Deliver plant and equipment for planned maintenance work and emergency outage situations.
- Cover out-of-hours rotation shift patterns, including weekends.
- Display a 'can-do' attitude and determination to deliver a safe, efficient, and effective delivery.
- Identify risks dynamically and ensure a safe and effective delivery is completed.
- Follow strict safety procedures and robust standard operating processes.
- Utilize initiative with confidence and adapt to dynamic lifting environments.
- Be an effective, supportive team member.
- Full UK driving license.
- Current Class 2 license and digital Tachograph card.
- Competent in manual handling operations regulations.
- CSCS or ALLMI approved lorry-mounted crane operator training license.
- Any associated lifting, Banksman, or rigging qualifications are advantageous.
- Proven experience in utilities or similar industries conducting deliveries with HI AB or similar equipment.
- High experience in moving 'heavy' and 'difficult' machines and plant.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
