Automotive Interiors Engineer Opportunity

Expleo Engineering UK Limited is seeking an experienced Automotive Interiors Engineer to join their Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for future vehicle development and a strong understanding of design for customer, design for manufacture, and idea generation.

The successful candidate will have a background in Door Trim and will be responsible for leading the development of Interiors to Quality, Cost, and Delivery. This will include preparing detailed cost reports, managing and reporting costs versus budget, and overseeing the Supplier Timing Plan.

The Automotive Interiors Engineer will also be responsible for managing suppliers, communicating cross-functionally with key stakeholders, and lifecycle cost management. Additionally, the candidate will have knowledge of interior cabin parts/modules, cost breakdown analysis skills, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead development of Interiors to Quality, Cost, and Delivery
  2. Prepare detailed cost reports
  3. Manage and report costs versus budget
  4. Oversee the Supplier Timing Plan
  5. Manage suppliers
  6. Communicate cross-functionally with key stakeholders
  7. Lifecycle cost management
Requirements:
  1. Degree educated in a relevant design/engineering qualification
  2. Previous automotive Interiors development experience
  3. Knowledge of interior cabin parts/modules
  4. Cost breakdown analysis skills
  5. Knowledge of manufacturing processes
