Expleo Engineering UK Limited Seeks Automotive Interiors Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Interiors Engineer to join our Research and Development Team at Expleo Engineering UK Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of interior systems for a major automotive manufacturer.

Your primary focus will be on design for customer, design for manufacture, and idea generation, with a strong emphasis on cost competitiveness, functional leadership, data analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with our team of Development Engineers to ensure the successful delivery of interior systems that meet the highest quality and cost standards.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Lead the development of interior systems to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
  2. Prepare detailed cost reports and manage supplier relationships
  3. Oversee the supplier timing plan and manage costs versus budget
  4. Investigate and resolve concerns related to interior systems
  5. Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Styling, Product Planning, and Purchase teams
  6. Lifecycle cost management and competitor benchmarking

Requirements:


  1. Relevant degree in design or engineering
  2. Previous experience in automotive interior development
  3. Knowledge of interior cabin parts and modules
  4. Cost breakdown analysis skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes
