Automotive Interiors Development Opportunity

Expleo Engineering UK Limited is seeking an experienced Automotive Interiors Development Engineer to join their Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for future vehicle development and a strong understanding of design for customer, design for manufacture, and idea generation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of interiors to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. This will involve preparing detailed cost reports, managing and reporting costs versus budget, and overseeing supplier timing plans. Additionally, the candidate will lead concern investigations, manage suppliers, and communicate cross-functionally with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant design or engineering qualification and previous experience in automotive interiors development. They will also have knowledge of interior cabin parts and modules, cost breakdown analysis skills, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead development of interiors to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
  2. Prepare detailed cost reports
  3. Manage and report costs versus budget
  4. Oversee supplier timing plans
  5. Lead concern investigations
  6. Manage suppliers
  7. Communicate cross-functionally with key stakeholders
Requirements:
  1. Relevant degree in design or engineering
  2. Previous experience in automotive interiors development
  3. Knowledge of interior cabin parts and modules

  5. Knowledge of manufacturing processes
