About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Café Experience Manager to join our team at the Nature Discovery Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our busy café, ensuring that our visitors receive an exceptional experience.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a high-volume café environment, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety, and leading a team of café staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the café operations, including staff supervision, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the café.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
  • Lead and motivate the café team, providing coaching and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with the Visitor Operations Manager to ensure that the café is meeting its budgetary targets and contributing to the overall success of the Nature Discovery Centre.
Requirements
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (with ability to attain Level 3)
  • Experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
