Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in Thatcham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse shift managers, section leaders, and operatives to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support shift managers with counseling, coaching, and development of all employees within the warehouse teams.
- Accountable for operational excellence, including cost and service delivery, peak planning, and delivery.
- Responsible for overall productivity within the operation, ensuring activities are cost-effective and managing levels of manpower and other resources.
- Customer service management, including escalation to store.
- Accountable for delivering operational KPIs, maintaining and improving performance levels to maximize efficiency of operation in line with account KPIs.
- Accountability for delivering the warehouse budget.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of a warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry.
- A background operating at a managerial level is a must, with a passion for teamwork, coaching, and mentoring.
- Excellent team management and customer relationship skills.
- An analytical mindset.
- Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns in the future.
- Previous experience working with trade unions.
