Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our team in Thatcham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing shift managers, section leaders, and operatives to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support shift managers with counseling, coaching, and development of all employees
Accountable for operational excellence, including cost and service delivery, peak planning, and delivery
Responsible for overall productivity within the operation, ensuring activities are cost-effective and managing levels of manpower and other resources
Customer service management, including escalation to store
Accountable for delivering operational KPIs and maintaining performance levels to maximize efficiency of operation in line with account KPIs
Accountability for delivering the warehouse budget
Requirements:
Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of a warehouse function within the FMCG Distribution Industry
Background operating at a managerial level is a must, with a passion for teamwork, coaching, and mentoring
Excellent team management and customer relationship skills
Analytical mindset
Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns in the future
Previous experience working with Trade Unions
