Cover for Operations Manager

Cover for the Operations Manager during their holiday leave, ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse and logistics operations. This will involve taking on additional responsibilities, managing a team of warehouse staff, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and shipments.

Compliance and Security

Initiate compliance reports and maintain high standards of security and safety, ensuring the integrity of our warehouse and logistics operations. This will involve conducting regular audits, implementing security protocols, and maintaining accurate records of incidents and near-misses.

Liaison with Sales Representatives

Liaise with Sales Representatives regarding supplies and customer queries, ensuring accurate and efficient communication and resolution of issues. This will involve managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records of shipments and receipts.

Requirements
  • Previous Supervisory Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory role is highly desirable, with a proven track record of managing a team of warehouse staff, coordinating logistics and supply chain processes, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and shipments.

Computer Literacy

Computer literacy to manage various systems effectively, including inventory management software, warehouse management systems, and other relevant tools and technologies.

Warehouse Operations Knowledge

Strong understanding of warehouse operations and product handling, including manual handling practices, inventory management, and logistics and supply chain processes.

Manual Handling Skills

Ability to manually handle goods safely and efficiently, with a proven track record of training and supervising warehouse staff, implementing manual handling procedures, and maintaining accurate records of incidents and near-misses.

Organisational and Time Management Skills

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proven track record of prioritising tasks, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.

Communication Skills

Good communication skills for liaising with team members and external contacts, including Sales Representatives, suppliers, and customers.

Initiative and Problem-Solving Skills

Initiative and the ability to think ahead to anticipate needs, with a proven track record of solving problems and improving processes.
