The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of collaborative working with a range of colleagues and partner organisations to reduce health inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of the local population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of a range of public health strategies, interventions and services for the population in Tameside, particularly in relation to key strategies such as the Health & Wellbeing Strategy, Healthy Places Strategic Framework and statutory public health programmes and services.
  • Work across organisational boundaries and collaboratively with several parties engaged in the public health agenda.
  • Provide advice and support across the broad spectrum of public health, with a specific focus on the Health Improvement agenda and driving forward the emerging Healthy Places work.
