Lead Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic mental health nurse to join our team at Saxon Ward, an acute male mental health ward based at Tameside General Hospital.
As a Lead Mental Health Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mental health nurse to take on a leadership role and develop their skills further. You will be responsible for providing leadership and support to the inpatient nursing team and assuming responsibility for the management and coordination of the ward and department.
You will also be responsible for delivering a high standard of care to inpatients and ensuring the optimum level of safe and effective care within allocated resources.

We offer a competitive salary of £38,890 per annum, as well as a range of benefits including enhanced supervision, additional training, and a leadership development programme.
Requirements- Evidence of Continual Professional Development
- IT Literate
- Preparation for mentorship
- Training in prevention and management of violence and aggression
- Training in psychosocial interventions
- ECDL
- Experience of working in acute mental health settings
- Evidence of appropriate clinical and management experience
The ideal candidate will have natural leadership qualities and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and CPA process. They will also have knowledge of current policy and guidance in relation to the development of Acute Mental Health Services.
