About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. As a key member of our Mental Health Liaison Team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist mental health assessments and psychological support to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patients' needs and develop effective care plans.
  2. Provide psychological support and interventions to patients in crisis or with mental health needs related to their physical illness.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advise on patient care and develop strategies for risk management.
  4. Contribute to the development of clinical practice and quality improvement initiatives within the service.
  5. Provide mental health education and training to clinical staff and students.

Person Specification
  • RMN, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist qualification.
