Job Title: Adult Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Defence Medical Services. As a key member of our community mental health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to our entitled personnel.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist mental health services to Service and entitled personnel, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health problems.
  • Work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to provide clinical leadership and support.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including individual, group, and tele-therapy.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or graduate level professional with a background in mental health.
  • Substantial post-qualification training and experience in at least 2 evidence-based psychological therapies.
  • Accredited or eligible for accreditation from a recognized body (BABCP, BACP, UKCP).
