Job Description:

Mount Alvernia Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Team Lead to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead and manage a team in the Operating Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of perioperative staff, ensuring efficient delivery of patient care.
  • Coordinate staff training needs and resource requirements within the peri-operative function or surgical specialty.
  • Assist in the delivery of high-quality patient care, focusing on safety and efficiency.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, applying best evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Prepare and assemble surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for various operative procedures.
