Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Perioperative Leader to lead our perioperative department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care, as well as supporting and assisting in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To deliver safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care and to support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department.
  2. To lead and manage a team, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements within a peri-operative function or surgical specialty.
  3. Assist in the delivery of patient care.
  4. Contribute to quality improvement.
  5. Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.
  6. Maintain knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff, and contractors.

Skills and Qualifications

As a Senior Perioperative Leader, you will need to have:

  • HHCPC registration
  • Extensive experience in perioperative leadership roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
