About the Role

The Outsourced Services team is responsible for sourcing and contracting third-party content creation and delivery services for Oxford University Press. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Outsourced Services Lead to ensure compliance with our policies and governance guidelines.

This is a busy and varied role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the functional leads to develop and agree the approach and timeline for sourcing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select suppliers to provide high-quality content creation and delivery services cost-effectively
  • Manage supplier relationships, including briefing, price negotiation, contract creation and approval, budget approval, and confirmation of services for payment
  • Develop and agree the approach and timeline for sourcing requirements with the functional leads
  • Oversee outsourcing activity, including recording supplier performance issues and escalating them to the Outsourced Services Manager as necessary
  • Work with teams across ELT and Publishing & Content Operations to ensure outsourcing requirements are clearly defined and understood by third-party suppliers
  • Accurately record and update internal systems with outsourcing activity to ensure visibility of spend and budgets is maintained throughout the year
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements to ensure continued efficiency

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have well-developed organizational skills, a high level of attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be resourceful and able to adapt well to the fast pace of change in the organization.

Oxford University Press offers a hybrid working policy with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office. We also offer 25 days' holiday that rises with service, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, and contribute to your pension up to 12%.
