Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Change Grow Live. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing bespoke interventions for individuals with dual diagnosis, with the aim of engaging them in the most appropriate service for their needs, reducing re-presentations, and bringing about positive client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist mental health assessments and interventions for individuals with dual diagnosis.
- Develop and implement joint working protocols with mental health services and substance misuse services.
- Support the development of training and support programs for colleagues working with individuals with dual diagnosis.
- Identify gaps in dual diagnosis provision and provide recommendations for future pathway and service design.
- Improve communication and referral pathways between substance misuse and mental health teams.
- Provide case management services for individuals with dual diagnosis.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A registered qualification in mental health treatment and a current PIN.
- Experience of working in substance misuse and/or mental health settings.
- Experience of working with individuals with co-morbid mental health and substance misuse problems.
- Experience of managing a caseload of clients with complex needs.
- Knowledge of and skills in appropriate therapeutic interventions for working with individuals with dual diagnosis.
- Knowledge of current mental health, substance misuse, and dual diagnosis policy, guidance, and legislation.
