Mental Health Support Worker

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term

Location: London Borough of Newham

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at EdEx. The successful candidate will work closely with our SEND, Pastoral, and Safeguarding teams to provide support to students with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, including those with Work Experience Placements, Learning Skills Centre, and College Links.
  • Plan and run group sessions and one-to-one sessions addressing the needs of students.

Requirements:

  • Graduate with a keen interest in Mental Health, Therapy, Psychological Research, Education, Speech and Language, Special Needs, and related fields.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
