At Global Counsel Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Regulatory Specialist to join our UK Politics & Policy practice. Our team helps organisations across various sectors to overcome policy challenges and maximise opportunity.

The successful candidate will have a background in public affairs or a political institution, and as such, have existing knowledge about how the UK political system operates. With a strong understanding of the policymaking architecture in the UK (Westminster & Whitehall), you will be able to make inferences and draw conclusions about how politics and regulations affect businesses.

We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the monitoring and analysis of key policy announcements and regulatory trends in the UK.
  • Support the delivery of advocacy strategies through carrying out stakeholder mapping and providing informed insight on the UK political landscape.

Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the policymaking architecture in the UK (Westminster & Whitehall).
  • Ability to make inferences and draw conclusions about how politics and regulations affect businesses.
  • Clear, objective and engaging written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
