We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Expert to join our team at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity of the UK's financial markets.

Job Summary

This Senior Associate – Regulatory position is responsible for overseeing regulated firms and preventing harm to consumers and the broader financial system. You will engage with firms to understand their business practices and assess risks to customers and the market. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping strategy and policy-making in the payments and electronic money sector.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a legal, compliance, regulatory or enforcement function and be able to analyze information, make risk-based judgments, and present key issues and recommendations. About the Role

In this Senior Associate role, you will work closely with senior industry figures to influence their practices and ensure they meet regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to the development of strategies and policies to prevent financial crime and consumer harm. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Your daily activities may include:

  • Engaging with regulated firms to understand their business practices and assess risks
  • Analyzing data and information to identify potential risks and threats
  • Developing and implementing strategies to prevent financial crime and consumer harm
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive change and improvement
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you can expect a range of benefits, including 25 days' annual leave, private healthcare with Bupa, and a non-contributory pension scheme.
