As a Care Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, families, and guardians to develop and implement robust support plans. Your expertise in supporting daily living activities, managing personal finances, and promoting social, health, and wellbeing needs will be invaluable.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities or working in a forensic service.
  • An understanding of professional boundaries, accountabilities, and responsibilities.
  • A passion for delivering excellent person-led care and support.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening, and written).
  • Numeracy skills to ensure accurate records are kept.
  • The ability and confidence to deal with behaviors that can challenge.
  • A caring and professional attitude and approach.
  • A positive approach to learning.
  • Confidence in the use of computers.
