Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our Children with Disabilities Team as a Social Care Professional - Children's Team. This role will involve delivering high-quality social work services to children with complex disabilities and their families, ensuring the welfare and protection of these vulnerable individuals.

About the Team

The Children with Disabilities Team is a supportive and committed team of practitioners who strive to achieve positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable children in the county. We work collaboratively with colleagues in health, education, and the voluntary sector, using a multi-disciplinary team approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver and provide social work services to children with complex disabilities and their families, at a level appropriate for a professionally qualified post.
  • To ensure the welfare and protection of children with disabilities, in accordance with legal and statutory obligations.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues in health, education, and the voluntary sector, using a multi-disciplinary team approach.

Requirements

  • A degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience of working with children with disabilities and their families.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a welcome bonus, retention bonus, flexible working practices, and opportunities for career development and progression.
