Child Disability Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our Children with Disabilities Team as a Child Disability Specialist. This role will involve delivering high-quality social work services to children with complex disabilities and their families, ensuring the welfare and protection of these vulnerable individuals.
About the Role
This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a qualified social worker to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with disabilities and their families. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of experience in working with children with disabilities and their families, ideally within a children's trust or similar setting.
Key Responsibilities
- To deliver and provide social work services to children with complex disabilities and their families, at a level appropriate for a professionally qualified post.
- To ensure the welfare and protection of children with disabilities, in accordance with legal and statutory obligations.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues in health, education, and the voluntary sector, using a multi-disciplinary team approach.
Requirements
- A degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience of working with children with disabilities and their families.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a welcome bonus, retention bonus, flexible working practices, and opportunities for career development and progression.
