Payroll Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our payroll operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of our 2400 employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle complex payroll challenges, including bonuses, deductions, pensions, and statutory payments, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation.
  • Provide valuable, data-driven insights to senior management and spearhead initiatives to streamline and enhance our payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to optimise our payroll systems and ensure seamless integration with other business systems.
  • Participate in or lead payroll-related projects, including system upgrades and process reengineering, to help us stay ahead of the curve.
  • Share your expertise by training and developing team members and act as the go-to person for resolving payroll queries and issues.
Requirements:
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  • CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • Experience working in a large, multi-site organisation.
  • Previous experience with payroll-related projects, such as system implementations or upgrades.
