About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at KP Snacks. As a key member of our payroll operations, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our 2400 employees are paid accurately and on time.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Complexity Management: Tackle intricate payroll scenarios, including bonuses, deductions, pensions, and statutory payments, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation.
  • Insight-Driven Decision Making: Provide valuable data-driven insights to senior management, driving initiatives to streamline and enhance our payroll processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT to optimise our payroll systems and ensure seamless integration with other business systems.
  • Leadership and Innovation: Participate in or lead payroll-related projects, including system upgrades and process reengineering, helping us stay ahead of the curve.
  • Mentorship and Support: Share your expertise by training and developing team members, and act as the go-to person for resolving payroll queries and issues.

Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in payroll software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure
  • CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) qualification or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience working in a large, multi-site organisation
  • Previous experience with payroll-related projects, such as system implementations or upgrades
