Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Bluebolt Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing process and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the manufacturing process by working closely with design engineers and production planners to ensure product manufacturing consistency standards.
  2. Assist in the creation of part numbers, materials, and commercial parts/spare parts.
  3. Decide on make/buy routes for transferred parts and ensure compliance with BOMs, drawing revisions, and processes.
  4. Manage ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) by processing, releasing, transferring, and updating product structure and shop orders.
  5. Standardize, update, log, and issue technical files and CE/UKCA documentation.
  6. Manage machine spares by creating spares lists in IFS and sharing information.
  7. Prepare drawing packs and barcoded labels.
  8. Understand and operate PMRP (Production Management and Reporting Process) software.
  9. Input data into PMRP for inventory part transfer, product structure, VMI, shop order request generation, and shop order creation.
  10. Update the barcoding system with project information.
  11. Create and update routing templates and routings for new parts.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
  1. Proficiency in IFS PMRP software or similar business systems.
  2. Manufacturing, systems, or industrial engineering experience.
  3. Machine building/engineering administration and project administration skills.
  4. Experience with engineering development systems and quality assurance.
  5. Manufacturing planning and systematic goal-driven approach.
  6. Ability to break tasks down into step-by-step actions and drive results.
  7. Previous experience in a similar role.
