About the Role

Succeed in this pivotal Head of Engineering position, overseeing the engineering function at our Meal Solutions site, Cavaghan & Grey.

As an accomplished engineer with a passion for driving excellence, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team and delivering high-quality engineering support across all operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation, ensuring that your team delivers exceptional results and achieves operational excellence.
  • Project Management: Strategically oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, guaranteeing timely delivery, adherence to scope, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Capital Expenditure: Skillfully manage a significant CAPEX budget, prioritizing resources for critical engineering projects and maximizing value creation.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of 5-6 direct reports and 46 indirect reports, cultivating talent development and ensuring the right skillsets are in place for operational success.
About You

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who shares our vision for driving modernization, improving efficiency, and achieving operational excellence.

A successful candidate will possess a degree in an engineering discipline, minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering management role, preferably within food manufacturing or a similarly regulated industry.

Demonstrable experience in leading and motivating large-scale engineering teams, BRC Certified or similar food safety standards, and strong leadership skills are essential.
