We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Bluebolt Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing process and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the manufacturing process by working closely with design engineers and production planners to ensure product manufacturing consistency standards.
  2. Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and commercial parts, and create part numbers for inventory management.
  3. Make informed decisions on make/buy routes for transferred parts, considering factors such as cost and quality.
  4. Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by processing, releasing, transferring, and updating product structure and shop orders.
  5. Standardize, update, log, and issue technical information, including CE and UKCA compliance.
  6. Create and manage machine spares lists in IFS, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  7. Prepare and package drawing documents, including barcoded labels, for production and quality control.
  8. Develop a strong understanding of and ability to run PMRP (Production Management and Resource Planning) software.
  9. Input data into PMRP, including inventory part transfers, product structure updates, VMI, and shop order requests.
  10. Update the barcoding system with project information and create/update routing templates.
  11. Develop and update routings for new parts, ensuring accurate and efficient production processes.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
  1. Proficiency in IFS PMRP software or similar business systems, including manufacturing support software such as SAP, MS Access, Excel, and Word.
  2. Experience in manufacturing, systems, or industrial engineering, with a strong understanding of machine building and engineering administration.
  3. Project administration skills, with the ability to manage complex projects from start to finish.
  4. Experience with engineering development systems and quality assurance processes.
  5. Manufacturing planning skills, with the ability to analyze and optimize production processes.
  6. Systematic and goal-driven approach, with the ability to break down tasks into step-by-step actions and drive results.
  7. Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the requirements and expectations of the position.
