Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Bluebolt Recruitment in Carlisle. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing process and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the manufacturing process by working closely with design engineers and production planners to ensure product manufacturing consistency standards.
  2. Assist in the creation of part numbers, materials, and commercial parts/spare parts.
  3. Decide on make/buy routes for transferred parts and ensure effective inventory management.
  4. Manage the ECO process, including process release, transfer, and update of product structure and shop orders.
  5. Standardize, update, and log technical information, including CE/UKCA compliance.
  6. Manage machine spares, including creating spares lists in IFS and sharing information.
  7. Prepare drawing packs and barcoded labels.
  8. Understand and operate PMRP, including inputting inventory part transfers, product structure updates, and shop order requirements.
  9. Update the barcoding system with project information.
  10. Create and update routing templates and routings for new parts.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
  1. Proficiency in IFS PMRP software or similar business systems, including manufacturing support software such as SAP, MS Access, Excel, and Word.
  2. Experience in manufacturing, systems, or industrial engineering.
  3. Machine building and engineering administration skills.
  4. Project administration experience.
  5. Engineering development systems experience.
  6. Quality assurance experience.
  7. Manufacturing planning and control skills.
  8. Systematic and goal-driven approach.
  9. Ability to break tasks down into step-by-step actions and drive results.
  10. Previous experience in a similar role.
