Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to join our team in Mansfield. As a key member of our technical implementation team, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of data migration projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of data migration projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure awareness of potential data migration resource constraints.
  • Lead client data migration calls to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Provide weekly highlight reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define migration strategies.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Design and implement data mapping, transformation, and validation processes to ensure accurate and complete migration of LIMS and pathology data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including migration plans, data mapping specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform testing and validation of migrated data to ensure integrity, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Develop business and functional requirements, and functional design specifications with product SMEs.
  • Proactively identify, manage, or escalate risks and issues, developing options for remediation or mitigation.
  • Work with cross-functional client teams to ensure requirements, functional, and design specifications are understood and accepted.
  • Manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and deliverables in agreed timeframes and costs.
  • Assist with pre-sales activities, including responding to tenders and product demonstrations.
  • Assist with procurement and implementation of infrastructure as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Extensive experience in a similar position in health technology.
  • Strong understanding of data migration methodology.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree qualifications.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and best practice.
  • Experience leading successful data migration roles from a trust perspective.
  • Understanding of NHS datasets and their use.
