Care and Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Care and Support Specialist to join our team at the Guinness Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an intensive housing management service to our customers. This will include developing successful customer relationships, assisting prospective customers to view properties and settle into their accommodation, and ensuring customers understand their rights and responsibilities in accordance with their tenancy agreement.
Key responsibilities will include assisting customers to access correct housing benefit assistance or financial advice to pay rent/service charges, completing referrals for assistive technology, aids and adaptations which will help to maintain customer independence. You will also carry out periodic site inspections and tests to ensure our schemes are fully operational and Health and Safety compliant, as well as monitoring the quality of contractors, such as window cleaning and grounds maintenance.
Requirements
We are looking for an individual with previous experience of working with the elderly and a proven ability to foster a spirit of co-operation and sense of independence within this group. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to Equality and Diversity, as well as the ability to adapt communication style to suit individual needs or when explaining technical information. Additionally, you will need to have previous experience of carrying out administrative work including numeracy work, and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Good verbal and written communication skills are also essential, as well as good knowledge of Microsoft Office and a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £25,521 per annum, as well as 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You will also receive a work mobile, free enhanced DBS, company sick pay after a qualifying period, and life insurance. We also contribute up to 9% towards your pension on a matched basis, and offer excellent lifestyle benefits, including a cycle to work scheme and discounts at supermarkets and other shops.
