About the Role
Future Directions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant/Support Worker to join our team in the North of England. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Encourage and support individuals to engage in activities and hobbies that promote their physical and mental health.
- Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable, but not essential.
- Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, late evenings, and sleep-in shifts.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Enhanced DBS and COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
