The role of a Psychological Therapist entails providing expert treatments to individuals with complex needs using evidence-based methods such as Dialectical Behaviour, Cognitive Behaviour, or other manualized protocols. Working within a multidisciplinary framework, you will ensure comprehensive care by collaborating with colleagues while maintaining autonomy within professional guidelines.
Your responsibilities will also include organizing teaching sessions and providing training when necessary, as well as collecting and interpreting data related to the effectiveness of your interventions.
To be successful in this position, you must hold a recognized qualification in therapy and possess strong risk assessment and management skills. Excellent communication is key, requiring you to effectively convey sensitive information with empathy and clarity.
While experience with alternative therapies is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
