About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs) and ambulatory monitors to diagnose and monitor cardiovascular conditions.
- Conduct exercise tolerance tests (ETTs) to assess cardiovascular function and diagnose conditions such as coronary artery disease.
- Develop and maintain technical skills in areas such as pacemaker follow-up and cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the efficient running of the technical service.
- Participate in research studies and contribute to the development of new treatments and technologies.
Requirements
- ObSc (Hons) Cardiac Physiology or equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience working within a Cardiology Department.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT literate and able to use computerized systems such as Cerner and PAS.
