Head of Animal Care Team

GLG Vets is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Animal Care Team to lead and manage our busy first-opinion GP surgery in South East London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a strong team of nurses, veterinarians, veterinary care assistants, and receptionists. You will ensure efficient day-to-day operations, maintain high standards of animal care, and foster a collaborative work environment.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about clinical development, team building, and delivering high-quality care. As the Head of Animal Care Team, you will be responsible for supervising clinical coaching and training of student nurses, collaborating closely with the veterinary team, and overseeing the maintenance and use of state-of-the-art equipment. You will also participate in the clinical work, performing nurse consultations, monitoring anaesthetics, assisting in surgery, and managing in-patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of nurses, veterinarians, veterinary care assistants, and receptionists.
- Supervise clinical coaching and training of student nurses.
